The Buchua Collection

Buchua is an ode to the indigenous Muisca language, with the word itself meaning “dry,” which perfectly encapsulates the diverse arid landscapes of Colombia from deserts to dry tropical forests. The Buchua Collection is an expression of our marvel at these resilient biomes. We explore the intricate relationships between flora, fauna, soils, and the communities that rely on these lands.

Featuring our classic natural dye colors alongside new pigments crafted by the artisans, our soft textiles reflect the vibrant and earthy hues of the dry Colombian terrains. We introduce new collaborations with communities renowned for their artistry in wool weaving and hand painting on robust earthenware. In this collection, the craftsmanship in the woven fabrics and hand-painted earthenware is a tribute to the ecosystems thriving in these regions. Join us in celebrating the resilience, diversity, and natural wonders of Colombia’s dry lands.
